Workshops

Workshops are a great way to deepen your practice.

Rebecca runs her workshops every 4/6 weeks at a fully equipped holistic studio in Witham Essex.

The workshops are taught in various styles of yoga often with a specific theme and a full yoga nidra given at the end, these are a real treat to yourself or maybe inquire about a gift voucher for a friend/loved one.

Yogis need a minimum of 3 months experience to get the full benefits from these workshops, they are not suitable for beginners.

Payments for 2.5hr workshops are £32.50 and 3hr workshops are £35.

Forrest, Inversions and Yin Workshop

An exciting 3hr Forrest workshop with Inversions and little Yin yoga before your nidra, this workshop will be a full immersion into Forrest yoga and all the benefits that come with it.

Starting with a ceremony to connect your mind, body and spirit you will then move through a Forrest practice releasing tension in your neck and shoulders.

Finding your abdominals in the core section, Firing your glutes and the back of the body in the bridge/wheel series before flowing through a sequence of vinyettes. Inversions will be making an appearance with a peak finishing pose before we start to slow down into the complementary Yin section of the workshop.

In Yin Yoga, floor postures are held passively for several minutes in order to access a safe and positive stress on the deep layers of connective tissue in the body. Physically, Yin Yoga restores and maintains the natural mobility of the joints. Energetically, Yin Yoga opens the body's meridian system, which enhances the body's energetic flow and supports emotional equilibrium. As this practice emphasises stillness and silence, Yin Yoga prepares both the body and the mind for for deeper experiences in the yoga Nidra which will complete the workshop.

Myofascial release workshop

Our fascia has a lot to answer for when it comes to our strength and flexibility!

Fascia is like 'cling film' which wraps around our muscles and organs, if this is allowed to become tight and stiff then our bodies become stuck and uncomfortable.

Using various techniques and props such as balls and blocks we will look to release the fascia which will help to relax contracted muscles, improve blood and lymphatic circulation, and stimulating the stretch reflex in our muscles.

This 3hr workshop will begin with some 'nerve flossing' before moving onto the Myofascial release which will start from the feet moving all the way up to the skull. This workshop will give you lots of tools to take away and use at home staying supple and strong. Of course there will be relaxation at the end which no doubt will be much welcomed!

Please bring 2 tennis balls with you for this workshop! (some will be provided)

Hipnotic Hip Opening Workshop

These days in the west, most of our hips are tight. Mainly that's caused by sitting on chairs, but also many of our activities when we do exercise only serve to tighten the hips - think of cycling, walking or running. We don't have many exercises which focus on the mobility of the hips. Which is why yoga is so very powerful as an antidote to all those chairs, that running, and our sedentary lifestyle.
When our hips are less mobile, it means that we no longer have the option to squat or sit cross legged, so we're more likely to sit on chairs, which is the worst thing for the hips, and tight hips, together with tight hamstrings and weak stomach muscles are a cause of lower back pain. So when we keep our hip joints mobile, together with stretching the hamstrings, we know we're reducing the strain on the lower back.

In this workshop you will learn how to progressively open and mobilise your hips and hamstrings through an extended Vinyasa flow, working towards peak postures including the splits and bird of paradise variations ending with a yummy hip opening yin sequence before the Yoga Nidra to leave you feeling relaxed and limber!
